Thinking Big

Loo

Loo McNulty is an illustrator who used to tell herself “it was ok to be 80% successful.” She was good at playing it small.

Being in the CF Coaching program helped her to reignite her confidence. She learned to value her work differently and to go for a Big Vision.

The way she is living now is so huge, with so many more possibilities. She went from a modest identity as an artist-for-hire to designing and selling a line of merchandise, successfully licensing her work, and spearheading a social enterprise called “Happy, Just Happy”, where her work supports a cause dear to her heart, that of mental health.

One-on-one with Loo

Why did you decide to join the CF Coaching program? What was going on in your life at the time?

I joined the CF Coaching program after taking several of Catherine’s mind-blowing Masterclasses. These gave me a taste of what it felt like to look more deeply, dream more vividly and feel the confidence in claiming the life I knew I was capable of having. I was exhausted from bumping up against the same self imposed boundaries I had created for decades, blindly (but with the very best intentions) attempting to get back to myself but knowing the way was just out of reach without someone to guide me. I had a burning desire to be the person I knew I could be and I knew that guide was Catherine.

Can you describe the impact of the program and what you learned from it?

Before joining the CF Coaching program my desire to be successful was always hindered by a lack of focus and little experience with the power of manifestation. I now understand and see the influence of small actions, accumulating over time, practiced daily with intention. The incredible influence of attitude, mindset, routine, and self-image. All of these lessons learned and applied by doing the program have given me the ability to affect huge change in my life and attain what I once believed unimaginable.

What was your number one takeaway?

Creating a mindset that is goal-focused had always frightened me a little, mostly because of the idea of failure. The work I do in this program now makes me feel confident about setting goals, not insecure. It motivates me instead paralyzing me into a state of procrastination. My energy now matches how I want to be - maybe always knew I could be but didn’t have the map to get there. Most importantly I have come to understand that the greater risk was not in revealing my true self but in remaining hidden in the shadows. That truth alone has set me free.

What happened that you weren’t expecting or couldn’t have foreseen?

I wasn’t expecting this overwhelming feeling of gratitude for myself. I have always easily expressed my appreciation for others but I have shied away from affording it to myself - feeling uncomfortable with the idea of self love or shining the light too closely.

Catherine opened my eyes, and heart, to the truth that without loving yourself up first through the best and worst of your experiences, then growth is stalled. Instead of worrying about what that looks like I now honour those feelings and the result is a me that is rooted in confidence and compassion for the person looking back in the mirror.

How did Catherine as a coach specifically help you?

I could write a book about Catherine’s unique qualities! She is a no-nonsense truth teller who delivers her lessons with a force of combined knowledge, compassion and humour that it is almost impossible to not feel the earth shift beneath you. I have never learned, in any format, more life-changing instruction from another person or program in my life. Period.
